The Khaya removable module comes fully equipped in two different versions:

Here in the Comfort version for 2 people (or Family version for 4 people without a kitchen).

Its layout is comfortable and can be further customized with additional accessories. It is ready to use for travel and serves as an ideal base for both day and night.

The standard living unit has an unloaded weight of 530 kg, excluding the water tank.

This weight includes the complete set of basic equipment, i.e., including awning, kitchen, etc., but with an empty water tank.

The living area is lifted using crank handles (accessories).

Access:

Access to the living area is via the rear door that opens upward and a fold-out rear ladder.

The living area floor is covered with vinyl. The interior and all compartments are lined for insulation, comfort, and noise reduction

Dimensions:

The length of the living area is 2.00 m without rear extensions, and 2.77 m with the roof extension. The width at the bottom is 1.30 m, and 1.85 m at the side compartments.

The total height is 1.41 m, and 1.17 m under the rear panel. Since the rear of the living area extends above the cargo area and covers the vehicle’s side lighting, the living area is equipped with LED taillights.

Kitchen:

On the right side of the living area, away from the entrance, there is a platform with a storage compartment that provides space for a refrigerator and an optional freezer.

The kitchen module, featuring a two-burner gas stove with a sink and glass lid (Dometic HSG 2445), two drawers, and a sliding cutting board, is located at the front right when viewed from the entrance.

Together, the refrigerator option and the stove are the perfect combination for traveling in complete self-sufficiency.

The front right exterior compartment serves as storage for a gas cylinder.

The large rear left exterior compartment is divided into several sections and is intended for dishes and kitchen equipment.

The compartment can also be partially accessed from the inside via a flap.

For outdoor cooking, a portable gas stove (not included) can be placed on a hanging table.

Thanks to the awning and the aluminum table, it is possible to eat comfortably outside the living area.

Roof tent:

The pop-up roof features a comfortable sleeping area measuring 240 x 120 cm.

For more space inside the living area, it can be partially folded up when the pop-up roof is open.

A 75 mm high-density foam mattress ensures a comfortable night’s sleep. Its cover can be removed for washing via a zipper.

Three large windows equipped with mosquito nets provide light and ventilation.

The rear window is equipped with a cable-operated awning for protection against rain and sun.

The 400 g/m² tent fabric is waterproof and UV-resistant.

The tear-stop feature prevents further tearing if the fabric is cut.

All seams are taped for waterproofing. The roof is insulated for a more comfortable climate.

A pocket storage system is installed in the roof tent’s headboard,

providing extra space for items and organization.

Lighting is provided by a ceiling-mounted LED lamp.

Storage:

Although you might not expect it at first glance, the cabin offers plenty of storage space.

Inside, there are storage compartments at the top front, at the bottom left under the seat, and at the bottom right under the cooler,

which are sealed with a sturdy canvas and can be opened with a zipper.

There are two drawers under the kitchen unit. The roof tent also offers space for clothes and other items.

On the outside, there is a small storage compartment at the front and a large one at the rear on both sides, some with dividers, shelf inserts, and fabric doors.

Above the double-cab pickup, an aluminum storage box can be mounted on crossbars. Used to store firewood.

Crossbars can be mounted on the standard C-rails on the roof, for example, to transport bicycles, kayaks, or surfboards.

A telescoping ladder can be retrofitted for this purpose. The dynamic roof load is 50 kg, the static load is 150 kg.

Electricity:

The living area is powered by a separate auxiliary battery. This prevents the starter battery from being deeply discharged, for example due to the optional refrigerator,

and the vehicle can no longer start.

With a solar panel on the roof, the auxiliary battery is continuously recharged, provided there is sunlight, so that power is available for lighting and the refrigerator

even when the vehicle is stationary for an extended period.

The battery can be charged with 220V AC power via a built-in charger.

The electrical system is located in the front right exterior compartment.

The interior and all exterior compartments are equipped with LED lights, including two LED reading lamps.
