Cellule Khaya Camper Family Alu-Cab

The Khaya removable module comes fully equipped in two different versions:

Here is the family version for 4 people without a kitchen, featuring only a sink under the bench seat on the right as you enter,

and can be further customized with optional accessories such as a cooler

As its name suggests, the Khaya Camper Family is designed for more people than the Comfort version—up to 2 adults and 2 children.

More specifically, the cabin is designed to accommodate two additional people in addition to the two in the rooftop tent.

This is achieved using floor cushions and lightweight pillows that can be stored in the numerous pockets during the day and placed on the storage areas at night.

Thanks to the insulated walls and soft padding, this creates another cozy bed, though it remains optional at all times.

By omitting the kitchen unit compared to the Comfort version, there is additional storage space and a removable wooden table with a swivel arm.

In the rear area, as seen from the cabin entrance, there is space for an optional cooler and freezer (shown in the photos for illustration purposes).

Additionally, there is a retractable lamp as well as two 12V outlets and a USB port in a side pocket.

Even in its basic configuration, it is ready to travel immediately and serves as an ideal base for both day and night.

The standard living area weighs 530 kg.

This weight includes the complete set of standard equipment, i.e., including the awning, etc., but with the water tank empty.

The living area is lifted using crank handles (sold as accessories).

Access to the living area is via the rear door that opens upward and a folding rear ladder. The living area floor is covered with vinyl.

The interior and all compartments are lined. This provides insulation, comfort, and reduces noise.

The length of the living area is 2.00 m without rear extensions, and 2.77 m with the roof extension. The width at the bottom is 1.30 m, and 1.85 m at the side compartments.

The total height is 1.41 m, and 1.17 m under the rear panel.

Since the rear of the living area extends above the cargo area and covers the vehicle’s side lighting, the living area is equipped with LED taillights.

Sleeping and Comfort

• Spacious Roof Tent: The pop-up roof reveals a comfortable sleeping area measuring 240x120cm with a high-density foam mattress, surrounded by windows equipped with mosquito nets for natural ventilation and protection from the elements.

• Insulation and Protection: The tent fabric, which is waterproof and UV-resistant, combined with the roof insulation, ensures a pleasant indoor climate in all seasons.

Storage and Organization

• Storage Solutions: Inside, various compartments offer secure and accessible storage spaces. Outside, additional compartments—some with dividers and shelves—further increase storage capacity for kitchen gear, clothing, or sports equipment.

Technical Innovations

• LED Lights: The interior and exterior are illuminated by LEDs, providing pleasant and energy-efficient lighting, essential for activities after sunset.

• Transport Flexibility: On the roof, standard Alu-Cab crossbars allow for the transport of bicycles, kayaks, or surfboards, with a dynamic load capacity of 50 kg and a static load capacity of 150 kg, demonstrating the Khaya camper’s ruggedness and versatility.
