The weak point of the HDJ100 is the intercooler tubing in the right front fender. These two original plastic-glued half-shells don't cope well with increased pressure, and can crack easily. The location of the part makes cracks difficult to detect, yet the engine loses power and risks swallowing impurities. For this reason, Tecinox has developed two unbreakable stainless steel replacement tubes that take up the original position. Highly recommended if the engine has been "boosted" by an engine management system, or simply as a preventive measure on vehicles subject to heavy use. These tubes are mandrel-bent and neutral gas welded for unrivalled reliability. There's a connection for a pressure gauge if required.
