Using our drawer system allows you to neatly store your gear in place for easy access.
What makes the drawer so great for an off-road vehicle is that it’s right there when you need it, within easy reach.
When choosing the right drawer system, there are a few things to consider. If you don’t know exactly what to look for,
you could easily end up with the wrong product for your needs.
Here are a few things to keep in mind or know when looking for a drawer for your vehicle.
Check the type of drawer slides used. This is of great importance. Alu-Cab uses high-quality solid stainless steel sealed bearings for its drawers.
What makes this bearing design excellent is its ability to withstand weight, dust, water, and the rigors of off-road impacts over the long term.
Consider the materials used for the drawer. Our drawers are made of aluminum. This makes our drawer system one of the lightest and most durable on the market.
Look at the finish on the top of the drawer system. Alu-cab uses a commercially available waterproof coating. This coating is covered with a nylon mat. The mat is important because it protects the top and also contributes to the product’s longevity. It also allows you to store items on top.
The mat at the bottom of the drawer is simply placed on the bottom of the drawer. We do this so that if something breaks inside the drawer during your trip, cleaning up is quick and easy. The drawer can be easily detached from its housing by loosening a few locking pins.
The mat at the bottom can be removed from the drawer and rinsed if necessary.
The reinforcement arch at the top of the drawer curves outward. This creates additional storage space because the curved lip does not interfere with the interior of the drawer.
Our drawers are designed so that you can store a Wolf Pack storage box inside with the lid on. This is useful when you’re trying to keep dust out or when your gear is stored in boxes.
The drawer system’s top is made of 12 mm thick plywood. This layer is very sturdy and allows us to load a large amount of equipment and weight onto it. Especially if you’re installing your refrigerator in this position. It can usually be screwed directly through the top.
The locking latches are self-locking stainless steel latches, so the drawer closes simply by pushing it. These are sturdy latches that can be locked to secure your equipment inside the drawer.
